Here’s some random information about me, so you get to know me better.
I love designing and creating.
I love trying to design with new processes that I’ve never tried before.
I am in awe of people who can illustrate, since I am a beginner illustrator and work on getting better each day.
I remember when I was young, my mom bought me a subscription to a craft service. I would get a new craft to try each month. And, my Mom still has many of those crafty items I made way back then. Why is that amazing… you may ask… ’cause I’m 50 years old!
Remember when you were in high school and you had to make a decision on what you wanted to study in college? I had no clue and tried college for a bit, but it wasn’t for me. All the boring studying… blah! I am a do-er!
After taking a drawing class at our local community center, I figured out I found something I loved doing and did end up going to college and study commercial art. It was the first time IN MY LIFE I ever got an A in a class.
My hubby, Larry, and I have three children, Jess is 27 and now married, Adam is 20 and is in college, and Jon is 18 and in high school. All of them are creative in their own way… actor, drummer, and writer.
I’ve spent most of my career as a production artist/graphic designer/art director for a printing company. I’m a very detailed and organized person… sometimes, no… most of the time it gets in the way of me being creative. So, I guess you can say, I’m creative, in a very organized way. Kinda the right brain fighting with the left brain!
We live in the midwest and it’s been a great place to raise a family. But, I will say once Jon graduates high school, I’d like to be OUTTA HERE! Not sure where… but somewhere where I can walk on the beach and still be close to my family. I grew up in a military family, my Dad was a career Air Force guy. We’ve lived a lot of places. I was born in Germany, lived in northern Virginia, Ohio, Nebraska, Texas and my parents are from Rhode Island (which was always our summer vacation to see my relatives.)
I work full time for an awesome group of realtors as their office manager/all ’round helper of many tasks! We all love houses and the prospect of finding the right home for the right person/family. Check out our facebook page to see what we are up to.
This little ole’ blog is my go to place to share things I love with people I love. I love the blogging process, sharing and inspiring each other. I hope when you see what I blog about you can take away a little chuckle, you can see that if you try and try again, something might just work out and be pretty! And, I know it’s over used… but I hope you are inspired to try something new yourself!
