So, did you create this weekend?
Crafts?
Bake?
Paint?
Maybe decorate for Fall or Halloween?
I was hoping to get my order from Lifestyle Crafts, so I could play with those items. But, nothing Friday or Saturday.
It was probably for the best since I have projects started in my craft room, but not finished. So, I devoted most of Friday evening and Saturday trying to make some progress. You remember those cute little putz houses I make, well, I started making four more in the spring! Here is it fall and my hopes to have them done and ready for my shop by September have totally failed. I guess that’s what a full time job will do with your time.. bye, bye, crafting!
So, I got out the glitter and glue and started to assemble. I didn’t finish but I made progress.
The fences are cut and glued, the houses have been glued to the bases and the first layer of glitter has been applied. Lots more work to do on these, plus the other two I’m working on. I’m hoping to be done soon!
I also pulled out my Epic letterpress/cutting tool and played with cutting some shapes I had from Lifestyle Crafts.
I made a little plaid pattern with my fav fall colors and cut them with the cutting die. I had some chalkboard labels from William-Sonoma and added that on top and wrapped it around my mason jar that holds my brushes. If you’ve never used Sharpie paint markers, give them a try, I have a black one and a white one. I love how they look… like chalk.
After working on these projects, I realized how unorganized my craft room really is… I need multiple surfaces so I can just start something and leave it until I can get back to it. Right now, I’m just moving things from place to place just to get them out of the way.
Guess it’s time to start pinning some craft room ideas to help me get organized!
I hope you were able to be creative this weekend. What did you work on? Did you get it done? Or, were you like me and working on a big project and still need some more time to finish?
I hope you share in the comments below… that would make my day!
