Happy Monday!
We had a great team meeting at work today! I feel so much more confident in what I’m doing and how I can help the team get organized and help them market and track their business leads. YAY TEAM INSPIRED! (That’s our name!) And for those of you curious types; I would be one too; check out our website and you can see the three great women I work with, www.inspiredhomes.com.
As the weather gets warmer, I crave Starbucks Passion Tea Lemonade. But, I can’t pay that money anymore for something I can probably make at home. So I googled a homemade version. And, after looking at a few, I was able to make my very own. Think of all the money I’m saving! YAY!
It’s best to make this per glass.
You’ll need to first make the PASSION TEA CONCENTRATE.
You can purchase the TAZO brand passion tea at Target, our local Meijer and probably Starbucks. You’ll want to make this as a concentrate so when you add all the other ingredients, you don’t dilute your tea taste. I boiled 8 cups of water, which was a full kettle for me. Then I brewed 16 tea bags (2 bags per cup) for 10 minutes. After you let it brew, simply take out your tea bag and put your concentrate in the fridge to have during the week.
Now I’ll take you through the step to make the PASSION TEA LEMONADE.
I am using my Tervis Tumbler. Since they have rings around the glass I used this method (just like Starbucks) to add my ingredients. Your ingredients are your passion tea concentrate, lemonade (my preference: Simply Lemonade), and some sort of sugar or substitute.
Step One: add your tea concentrate, that you made earlier, to the first line above the bottom rim… like seen in the picture above.
Step Two: Add your lemonade to the next ring on the tumbler. (Yup, such a small amount, but it adds such a great taste!)
Step 3: Add water up the next line, then add your sweetner. I like Truvia, sometimes I add one packet, sometimes two. Just depends on what I want at that time.
Step 4: Add lots of ice! And because you are saving so much money… have a cookie too!!
Super Easy! I’m thrilled this is just as good as the Starbuck’s version. I can make this anytime now, save money, and enjoy it all summer long!
What’s your favorite Starbuck’s drink? Have you tried to google homemade directions?
Have a great week!

I’ve never tried this at Starbucks, but you certainly are tempting me to make it at home!
Thanks for sharing!
I have never had anything other than coffee at Starbucks, and now I don’t need too. Looks refreshing. Pinning it to give it a try.

That looks yummy!! I can already see the stain on my tshirt…I have a hole in my lip….or I talk too much while I’m drinking…can’t decide which….thanks for joining the party!
Sounds delicious. I’ve never tried it at Starbuck’s either. Thanks for linking to the Hot Fun in the Summertime party.
I really want to try this, but I don’t have a tervis tumbler. I’m not sure what I’ll do about the measurements… It would be nice to have them on the recipe.
Hi, I’m a barista at Starbucks and just to let you know we don’t add more water, and use a simple syrup to sweeten it
the passion tea DOES stain so don’t wear white while you’re chugging it! Haha
Since you have my two favorite things in this (passion tea lemonade and Tervis…) I’m gonna go with it.
